DeivaThirumagal - SHE is GODLY

First of all, I'd like to make clear of something. Everyone knows a hollywood venture named "I AM SAM" is the inspiration of DeivaThirumagal. Some say already Bollywood Venture "Main Aisa Hi Hoon" has come Up. Who cares anyway?? And please highlight something, this film is an inspiration and *not a copy*! Got It Kids??!!

Well, The film starts with some Graphics stuff and Everyone wonders, "Oh! Is this any Ramanarayanan's Film?". Just don't get carried away. It's all about their production house - Sree Rajakaliamman Media. Thanks for producing an Epic.

After all whistles and claps in the arena for the Title Board is over, the film finally starts off. A Milestone showing "CHENNAI-30km" shows up. I dunno how far it is related with the film. But atlast there's an unofficial connection. Dir.Vijay, this film is damn really a milestone in your career man.

CAST

Amala Paul ~ Swetha Sargunam / Big Dinosaur / Corr-es-pon-dent

Well. Mynaa has been given hot and beautiful costumes. Though she looks Dusty, she is never Rusty. She is stunning in few scenes actually. She's been given only a very small part in the venture. But she's done it with ease. Nothing big for her here. Still, atleast she must has some satisfaction, that she'd been a part of an EPIC.

Karthik Kumar ~ Karthik

Again, no specific roles for this guy. A formal Guest Appearance.

M S Bhaskar ~ Murthy Annan

His teeth are his speciality. He is a good actor anyway, he proves it too. Every husband would doubt his wife, if she is moving well with such a Cute faced guy like Krishna. He cannot be blamed.
PANDI - The helper guy, has done what he has been given.

Nasser ~ Bashyam

An apt selection for a Nerdy Lawyer role. His excellency in acting is very known. Being a crude advocate, he shows Fierceness. Being a Dad, he shows his Concern. Atlast, being a natural human, he shows his Humanity with his acting and dialogue, "Nilaa Krishnaavudan poga.............. Enakku endha Atchebanai illai".
His last dialogue in the film, speaks many Truths of Life, especially "Winning is not a big honor, if it shatters someone".

Santhanam ~ Vino/Vinod

He is AN ENTERTAINER. He is just amazing all the time. I don't think anyone except him can make the director comfortable with Comical Scenes amidst of such a Serious Screenplay. Santhanam is the find of the decade in the industry. Way to go bro.

Y Gee Mahendra ~ Ragunathan

He is a puzzle in the whole screenplay. His role is not exactly explained. However, that is not exactly needed for the film too. But one thing is for sure. It's natural that a father always sees his daughter with some doubt in the eyes, when the daughter is as beautiful as ANUSHKA - The amazingly gorgeous doll. Bliss. Blush. Whatsoever.

Anushka ~ Anu Ragunathan

Oh My God! The only phrase that comes into a guy's mind, in every scene that she shows up in front of the camera. Her Cuteness is added on by the innocence she shows in her character. None can deny that she's a good actor, after seeing the extremities of performance in "Arunthathi" and "Panchamukhi" and now, in "DheivaThirumagal". Only Sometimes, God gives Women, both Beauty and Talent. No Offence.

Vikram ~ Krishna/Krishna-Avalanche-Chocolate Factory---Periya Maram

Gem of the Creations of God, Dr. "chiyaan" Vikram is. He is growing older day by day. But his acting is inversely growing every fraction of a second. No doubt he is a National Award Winner. May be Oscars are yet to grow up to find a place in this man's hand.
His Sweater reminds us of his innocence in every scene. His walk reminds us of the purity of the character.
He has lived the character. He gave Life to the role. He brings Smile to the audience in most of the scenes. And ofcourse, simultaneous Tears too. No dad can take care of his daughter the way he does. So all Daddy-s of daughters. Remember. You don't need any IQ to bring up your daughter. You just need the care and affection on her. Every Dad, who already lives that way please raise your Collars. And the other category, please see the film yet another time.
Arey! National Award selection committee, you are gonna have a tough time this year.

Baby Sarah ~ Nilaa/Krishna's Daughter(or)Mother

Sorry for using Baby. She isn't a baby. She is GODLY. She is cuter than anything in this world. I don't think Nilaa(Moon) is a that good choice for her name. Moon is not as beautiful as her. Every man will fall in love with her. I bid, every single guy who'd seen this film, would have prayed to have such a daughter. God Bless.
And her acting, WOW! Ofcourse, she is gonna get one national award for acting. That's different. If there is any national award to be given for Cuteness, give it to her.
She lived as a mother to Krishna(Vikram). Her Smile, seriously creates some magic.

The Director - A.L.Vijay

He's been noticed since his first venture, Kireedam with AjithKumar.
Next one, Poi Solla Porom.
And the legendary next one - MADARASAPATTINAM.
And now, another EPIC from his portfolio - DEIVATHIRUMAGAL.

The Screenplay will show What the Director has in him. His every screenplay shows it. He is becoming a master of good screenplays. Being a Son of famous Producer A.L.Azhagappan, and Legendary director Priyadarshan's asst. and associate director, he is obviously attached with Cinema. But the magic is that, he makes every audience of his, to be attached with his film.
The Dialogues are Simply Sweet. No Commercial Punches. No Romantic Rollovers. No Third-rated Jokes. No Political Propoganda. They are Solid and Sweet. Maniratnam should be proud, that he made way for new minds. Tamil Industry should be proud of having directors like Vijay. Good Luck.

TECHNICIANS

Cameraman ~ Nirav Shah

He is one of the best non-performing artists in the field. Maturity is shown film by film. Expecting wonders in future. In this venture, he has again proved. May it be the rolling scenes of Krishna on road or the Song Sequence with Anushka in rain. Especially the slow-motion sequences are damn stunning. Way to Go!

Editor ~ Antony

A very familiar name in the industry. Editing is not a very big part in this film as the screenplay is soft. The appreciable fact is that, the editor hasn't unnecessarily spoiled any part of the film. Thank God!

Music ~ G V Prakash Kumar

ARR's nephew. Huh! He no more needs that badge. He is matured. He has stuff within him. He proved it yet again. "Pa Pa Paapa" song is awesome (though it is taken from Walt Disney's Whistle-Stop). BGM has nothing to do big in the film. But everything is simply divine.

The Film

Pure entertainer. Induces everyone's Lacrimal(Tear) Glands. An Epic told in a way, even a child can understand and rejoice.
It is something about Science. Yeah! Usually, The SUN(Krishna) gives light to Nilaa(MOON). But as a miracle, here slowly MOON is shaping up to give light to the pure SUN.
It is not just a Father-Daughter relationship. Something more than that.
It's agreed, the climax is not agreeable. A person with 6 year old mental maturity can't take such a matured decision. But again, this is more than that. As a father, it is natural to take that decision, he may or may not be matured. Lively.

Next to Lord Krishna, Avalanche-Chocolate Factory-Krishna will be remembered forever.

Yeah! I am not gonna focus on any traditional or conservative review writing rules and stuff for this movie!

Well.. To start off with the Concept!
Man.. Please don't expect any concept for any upcoming films. We are leaving back the traditional Tamil Cinema, in which most of the time, Rich people are always Villains and their daughters always Love a Poor Hero, who fights 20-25 Men with Backflips and Saves the Country/State/District/Village or atleast the Heroine.
Tamil Industry is getting into the next phase with directors like Maniratnam, Shankar, Bala, Gautham and Vijay. So, please don't be Obsolete. Stay Updated !

The Director

A new entry to the World Of Cinema. But not to the field of Media. He is a renowned Ad Film Director. And now, he proved that even he can convert those 30 secs ad into 135 mins  entertainer! Thanks Mr. Jayendra.

Hero - Sid ! - Ajay/Mano/AJ/Amitabh Bhacchan/Sachin Tendulkar

After Boys, Siddharth wasn't given an exact oppurtunity to prove his Cute stuff in Tamil Cinema. Ofcourse Aayutha Ezhuthu was an epic. But, what about Sid's role?! Quite questionable.
He has proved that HE IS CUTE, even in his acting. Though he hoisted his flag in Telugu Industry, I am always personally proud, that this man is a Chennaite. God Bless.

Heroine(s)

Priya Anand - Renu

Bliss! Yeah! She truly lived inside the character, outside too. From the first scene of asking for a Filter Coffee, till the Scene, where she cries being a true Wife. Wonderful. And those lovely scenes, that she mimics in phone, Thanks to the Director again.

Nithya Menon - Vidya

Baby! Yeah! She makes the audience call her that way. Lovely Girl. I bid, we've got another good-in-acting heroine to the industry. Though she often shows up with a Camera, I swear, not even a single nice shot was clicked. Kidding.
She reminds us of Konkona Sen Sharma, from Wake Up Sid. An independent Girl, living her life. Her craziness, WoW! And in that scene when Sid says" I am married" and she replies, " I don't believe. I don't care too".. There's a slight shade of Maniratnam's way of shaping-the-dialogues. Anyways, Girl.. U have long way to Go. Good Luck.

Mouli & Geetha - Mama & Mami

We know what kind of actors, both are. They've done their part Great. And in every endeavour, Mouli is showing that he is the best in Timing. He Rocks. And Geetha (My Pre-Kg Classmate's Aunt. Lol), suits in the best choice for the Carnatic Teacher role. She adds up beauty to the character. Ah! Motherly! 
Thanks to the Director again, for not inserting an unnecessary emotional sequence to display their emotions for not having a Child. Again, Tamil Cinema is entering the new phase. Amen!

Newspaper Kids

They make the best part of the film. The profound thought of the director, to insert a concept that Children needs education, Awesome it was.
The dialogue "Enakku kooda schoolukku poi, padichi, periya aal aayi, car ellam vaanganumnu aasa dhaan Sir. Naama nenaikardhu ellam nadanthirumaa Sir? Sollunga Sir.. Sollunga.." is seriously an Ear, Eye, whatsoever opener for the Well-to-do individuals like us!
And especially the Child's purity, "Enakku Commission ellam vendaam Sir. Veedu kedachaa, en kitta Paper vaangunga podhum". Sincerity speaks. Indians - Wake Up!

Songs

Nee Korinaal.. I don't see any Life in the Lyrics. But, You know. Music is reaching a new dimension. The pitch and variations, Thanks to the Music Director Sharreth.

The Film

After a long time, I sensed that I've seen a film, which shows no Bilateral Halves. Serious. It's a good show of continuity in the Film.
And, simultaneously switching over to America and India, really the Cinematographer, Mr.Balasubramaniem must be saluted for maintaining the equivalence he showed. Not like many directors, who show US like a paradise and India like a Garbage! Thanks for that!
And, the Editing, Kishore T E. Thanks brother, for making us understand the film, without getting lost in India, when the story was in US, vice versa.
It is a must watch Drama - That's how I wanna put it up.

Things that must be highlighted in the Movie :

• It showed a Love, a pure and realistic one!

• A good thought, simply said, by those Children Welfare scenes.

• A heroism, when the guy feared nothing in Life!

• A Reality stuff, when the Guy knew he had Pancreatic Malignancy, and he knows he gonna die. Just realize how practical it was, that even a Doctor disbelieves Medicinal Sciences, when he was caught up by the fear of Death!

• An Innocence, when Vidya (Nithya) loves him, even after getting to know, he is gonna Die.
• A purity in relationship, when the Wife stands up to all mental stress given by the Hubby after he knows he gonna die. She understands his problem, and never complained him of any of his ignorant acts. Wish every couple be such!

• A true Love and Care, a guy can have on a Girl, showed when Sid runs all the way to the Cafeteria, to see his Wife, but just gets lost, intending not to remind her about him anymore.

I just Loved the Film ! Everyone, who has patience will surely Love that. Others! I Don't know whatta-say!

Saved the best for the Last - Dialogues
Oops! I am still in Love with those pretty dialogues. I can't forget even one of 'em. Every dialogue speaks up to itself. Some even speak up to U, if U really give ears !
Even the last dialogue - "AJ, 'll You come tomorrow?....  AJ : Yarruku Theriyum" tells U the story!

And lastly, to those who questioned about the link with the Title of the story, Get Life. I suggest U go back to your primary school and learn Numbers and Dates/Months stuffs.

Avan Ivan - A 'Bala'nced Venture

I wonder why these people, never worry about the language thingie they use in their films. But once again, when I come to senses that it is a Bala Film, Yup!! I agree with that. 'Coz he's an accused culprit of Indian Cinema, who always shows 101% reality in his films.

The first thing that strikes my mind when I hear the word combo AVAN-IVAN is V.I.S.H.A.L !!!!! One may comment that he moved his eyeballs alone, and only that makes him look superior to other artists in the film. I say, that person who makes this comment must be hanged to death, even after that. Who can cry, even after adducting both the eyeballs towards the angle of Eye??!! HE did.

HIGHNESS

He acted as a "ZAMIN" heir in the film. I say, He lived so. Nude scenes of this guy are released uncensored. Ah!! Again I come to my senses, it is a Bala Film. Everything is RIGHT if the thing is Godly !!
This man cried, laughed, slapped, played, drank, lived and Died Alas! Only in the film, not in people's mind. Man.. Next award is on the way (Hope U all didn't forget the national award he got for "Aadukalam")

YUVAN

He is becoming a Genius in the field. Though songs were good, Bala used them only along with the story. Did not give any special importance to waste 15 minutes of the movie with foreign locations, White group dancers or animated Life forms - Yet again, A typical Bala film

Small Boy

Wherever he laughs in the reel, people Laugh. Wherever he cries in the film, people Cry !! - A true coincidence that reflects the connection, the director makes with the people with every one of his scripted characters in his films.

Ambiga

Seen after a long gap, still she looks the same with few (may be too much) extra pounds. And her Smoking style in the scenes... Arey! Stylish!..! Ah!! She'd been with Rajni sir in few movies. Obviously she must have acquired atleast 2% of his style.

Heroines

Again BALA.. BALA.. BALA.. No other director can show their heroines in such a way. We start respecting them as women. Not like any Item Girl or Call Girl or Bar Dancer, as most of the directors show their heroines. So, please learn from Bala in respecting Women !
Two beautiful, rather cute women with actually some importance in the film, if U deeply look into the script.

ARYA

Naan Kadavul - The perfect perfection, perfectly personified !! We all know that.. Yet, never expect such an Arya here in this movie. Arya is the MASS MAKER here!! Even without Santhaanam, he made it possibly a comical movie - Again credits to the director.
Arya's open acting - Waarey Waa!! Way to go. Comedy - Too Much, that a chocolate hero can perform !!

V.I.S.H.A.L

As I've penned his named here, HE stands as the Capital of the film. Yeah! He is the main investment. If anyone deny the fact that HE don't have an actor within him, I bid, they don't have any heart, lungs, liver, stomach, kidney, genitalia, brain, anything with them. Grow Up! Get Enlightened!

His acting - Even better than Sum of talents that, this generation heroes (Except Vikram) possess. I don't think HE acted well... HE lived to the maximum.
His Dance - Nothing professional. But this is something that I do, You do, We all do. Purely Practical.
His Expressions - OH MY GOD !! Veteran Padmini's song in "Vanjikottai Valiban", Jothika's Raa..Raa in "Chandramukhi" everything will lose their supremacy when weighed against the EXPRESSIONS - NAVA RASAM that this man showed in very few minutes of the reel.
His Eye - I've heard he strained a lot. Died out of pain. Cried out of stress. Still, Man.. You've moved miles further. You'll be praised till History is Alive!

If Kamalhaasan, Vikram and Dhanush gets the national award for their films, then it is obvious, Vishal should join the club. Very Sooner.

*BALA*

He never speaks much. His actions speak. His Screenplay speaks. His Social Care speaks. His Supremacy speaks. His Perfection speaks. His Determination speaks. His Intelligence speaks. His Talent speaks. His Writing speaks. His Everything speaks. As an ardent Fan, I speak for him. Anywhere, Anytime.

SEDHU - Gave a Breakthrough for a man(Vikram) with real talents. Bala was the cause.
NANDHA - One(Surya) who was always under his father's shade, came into real existence as an appealing actor. Bala was the cause.
PITHAMAGAN - National award given for a deserved one(Vikram). Bala was the cause.
NAAN KADAVUL - The man(Arya) who was liked only by a very few girls, started to be liked by everyone, who Understands and Loves the word Cinema. Bala was the cause.
AVAN IVAN- If the jury really have any heart and probably brain, National award for a man(Vishal) is undeniable. I don't predict how many will be awarded for this same movie. Bala is the cause.

I don't think Bala needs a National Award. He himself is an award to the Indian Cinema.

AVAN IVAN

A total entertainer, if at all, You don't have any issue with seeing a movie with all sorts of violence that was showed with some patience. Girls may not like the movie. Till, they remove their trademark "Sweet/Soft/Tender" seals and leave them at home.

People. Do watch the film in theater. Not with family. But with Friends for sure. atleast Twice. :)

P.S. : You may have noticed that I used "HE" (In Caps) everywhere when I was mentioning Vishal. Yeah. HE is a respectable version of addressing anyone and Vishal is the apt person right now. Man.. You are just Rockinggg!!
